Tulsa police are searching for three people who attempted to steal equipment from a lawn care owner Monday afternoon.

The owner of Anderson Total Lawn Care was performing work in the 10900 block of East 27th Street when he was alerted by a passing mail carrier that multiple people were trying to steal lawn equipment from the back of his truck, police said.

The suspects then attempted to run over the victim with their SUV following a brief chase, police said. The victim subsequently fired multiple gunshots at the vehicle as it left the scene, police said.

The vehicle was later found abandoned in a parking lot in the 10700 block of East 31st Street featuring two bullet holes and multiple flat tires, police said.

One of the suspects was described as a white female in her 20s with two ponytails, police said. The two other suspects are described as white males.
